We have been notified there are exploits available to the "HyperVM" control panel software we are using to provide our customers access to reboot, rebuild and maintain their VPS servers via the web.

We have decided to side with caution, and have disabled the control panel until a patch is made available from the vendor. Customers who cannot SSH to reboot their server should contact support, customers should also contact support if they need to have their VPS reloaded/rebuilt at this time.

** YOUR VPS WILL CONTINUE TO RUN AND FUNCTION WITH OUT THE CONTROL PANEL **

We apologize for this disruption in service. However, to ensure our customers data integrity we feel this precaution must be implemented.

We hope to have the control panel back online as soon as possible.

** EDIT **

If you are running LXAdmin/Kloxo you should turn off the service until patches are supplied from the vendor. This can be done doing the following:

1) SSH into your server as root and run either:
2) service lxadmin stop (for lxadmin customers)
3) service kloxo stop (for kloxo customers)

The company Lxlabs who was behind the HyperVM/Kloxo/LxAdmin products has suffered a great tragedy over the past few days with the passing away of their developer/owner in wake of their recent security problems.

While we wait to see if Lxlabs products will be released or fixed. We have started working to bring basic functionally back using a custom built control panel in replacement of HyperVM for our VPS customers. Initially the control panel will allow you to reboot/start/stop your VPS. We will then begin to add features such as DNS management and rebuilding your VPS into the control panel.

In the meantime if you need to have VPS DNS records added/changed/deleted or need have your VPS rebooted or reloaded please contact our support group.

I would only enable it when you need to make a change and then disable it again afterwards just to be on the safe side until a resolution is in place. By a resolution, I mean when either someone takes over the Kloxo/LxAdmin software and fixes the current problems or we find a suitable and cost effective replacement for our customers.

This has been fixed on the shared server you are on for your Mini package. For some reason it needed to have a license recheck initiated. If you run into any problems please email support@fivebean.com and we'll take a look.
